How to unlock an iPhone that has been blacklisted or blocked by AT&T

The majority of us know a ‘clean’ iPhone can be unlocked from AT&T for use on any other network without any problems, but what if it happens to be blacklisted or blocked. The definition of a blacklisted iPhone is one that has been reported lost, stolen or due to an unpaid bill by the network the device was locked to originally.

A blacklisted iPhone will likely not work properly on any network in the country of origin of the original network. However, it is not impossible as some networks do not share this information. That means if AT&T has blacklisted the iPhone, it probably won’t work on Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint either.

So the question is, if I have no way of removing my iPhone from the blacklist, does that mean it’s now completely useless? Fortunately, the answer is no. There is a strong possibility that the device will work abroad as reports rarely extend to other countries.

That means you can unlock it and use when traveling internationally just by inserting a local SIM card. If you rarely travel, you also have the option of selling the iPhone to somebody that can make greater use out of it. Don’t forget to unlock it first though to maximize the resale value.

Unlocking a blacklisted iPhone is perfectly legal and a very straightforward process, as long as you ask a reliable online unlocking company like doctorSIM to do it for you. We don’t have a middle name, but if we did it would be transparency, because we want to be clear about the unlock services we offer right from the start. Let’s recap below the three unlock services you can use to unlock your iPhone from AT&T whether it is blacklisted or not.

1. If your iPhone is not under fixed-contract or blacklisted by AT&T, use our Standard Service which with a 60% success rate.

2. If your iPhone is currently under contract with AT&T, select our Premium Service. This service has an 80% success rate.

3. Our Premium Gold Service is currently the only service on the market that can unlock your iPhone from AT&T with 100% success even if it has been blacklisted.

UPDATE: Our Premium Gold Service is unavailable at the current time as it is not possible to unlock a blacklisted iPhone from AT&T. We recommend checking the active unlocking services directly on our website prior to submitting an unlocking order.

IMPORTANT: None of the services listed above, or any other unlocking service, can remove an iPhone from the blacklist. Only AT&T can do this for you.

To unlock your iPhone from AT&T using any of the services listed above, click on Apple or iPhone under the Unlock Your Phone section at the top of the page, then after you’ve chosen the model, select AT&T in the Network Provider drop-down menu. Read the descriptions of the unlock services in the blue box to the right carefully before making your selection.
