An iCloud locked iPhone has a security feature preventing anybody but the owner from using it. The only way to disable the iCloud Activation Lock is to insert the owner’s username and password. This is great if the iPhone is ever lost or stolen as it renders the smartphone useless to anybody else. Unfortunately, this can be a serious issue if the iPhone was purchased second hand and the previous owner failed to remove the Find My iPhone (FMI) feature prior to selling it.
Legally, the only way to iCloud unlock an iPhone is to contact the previous owner for their username and password or if that’s not possible Apple. Neither doctorSIM nor any other professional cell phone unlocking company can remove this security feature as it is illegal.
Network carrier unlocking, also known as SIM or subsidy unlocking is the process of removing the technical restriction incorporated into cell phones preventing them from working on networks other than the one that sold the phone. Network carriers lock cell phones so they can sell them at a discount in exchange for a contract to pay for the use of the network for a fixed period of time, usually between 1-3 years.
Fortunately, the process of unlocking an iPhone from its original operator for use on any compatible network in the world is much simpler and 100 percent legal. All you need to do is select the model of your iPhone and then fill in the online form to submit your request. Then as soon as we’ve received authorization from Apple, we’ll send you an e-mail with instructions on how to complete the unlocking process by connecting your iPhone to iTunes.
Please note that network unlocking an iPhone will not remove the iCloud lock. If you are unsure if your cell phone is iCloud locked, verify its status using our iCloud Activation Lock check prior to submitting your request. We are unable to issue refunds if your iPhone has been released from its original operator but you can’t use it due to the iCloud lock restriction. It is also a handy tool to use before purchasing a second-hand iPhone.
