Different phone unlock services explained

Recently, we have been receiving a lot of enquiries regarding the difference between the unlock services we offer at doctorSIM. Some of you may already be familiar with terms such as Standard Service, Standard Express Service, Premium Service, Premium Express Service, Worldwide Service and Device Unlock App Service. But what do they all mean?

Our Standard Service is a low-cost unlock service which scans a limited number of local databases in search of an unlock code for your phone. This service should be used if:

1. You are not paying your network provider for the phone in monthly installments.

2. You do not have a fixed-term contract.

3. The phone has not been reported by the network provider due to theft, loss or an unpaid bill.

Our Standard Express Service is similar to the Standard Service, only much faster. If you need your phone unlocked quickly because you are about to travel abroad or a special deal you’ve seen is about to expire, this is the service for you.

We recommend trying our standard services first, even though their success rate is relatively low, because there is always a chance your unlock code is stored locally. We will issue you a full refund if your unlock code is unavailable using our standard services so you can request our Premium Services. Why pay more for something if you can pay less, right?

If you have a fixed-term contract or you are paying for your phone in monthly installments (you must be up to date with all your payments), you’ll need to use our Premium Service to unlock your phone. This service scans databases located worldwide, guaranteeing the availability of your unlock code.

Once again, if time is of the essence and you need a solution in a matter of hours rather than a couple of days then look no further than our Premium Express Service. Your request will be given maximum priority and, as with the Premium Service, an unlock code is guaranteed due to its extended reach.

Our Worldwide Service unlocks all iPhone models from any network provider in the world. Unfortunately, doctorSIM cannot guarantee that the unlock will be permanent.

However, the iPhone will remain locked in most cases if the following conditions are met:

– You do not update the software to a newer version.
– You do not accept new Terms and Conditions.
– You do not reset the iPhone to factory settings.

It is important to note that we will be unable to issue you a refund if your iPhone locks to the original network provider again, regardless of the reason why.

However, this service has a six-month guarantee: if your iPhone relocks during this period of time, we will unlock it again for you free of charge.

If your phone is locked to T-Mobile or MetroPCS and has the Device Unlock application installed, you will only be able to unlock your phone using our Device Unlock App Service.

But first, check your phone can be unlocked using the Device Unlock App. Open the application on your phone and if you receive the following message “Not Eligible for Unlock” it means your phone can be unlocked via the Device Unlock App. If you get an error or see any other message, simply restore your phone to factory settings and then open the application again. You should see the “Not Eligible for Unlock” message meaning you can now request your unlock code from doctorSIM.
